About me

Hello there! My name is Codi Jo, nice to meet you.  I am a photographer, writer and adventurer trying to figure out the next step of life.  Even though I may not know the next step, my God does and I am trusting in Him to guide me. This is a weekly blog where I write about each week, new things I have learned, and just random thoughts! On here you will be able to see everything from my personal style, little adventures, photography, travels, and every day life.

I listen to anything from rap (Macklemore will always be my first love) to country music. I am torn between two genres that I love though, R&B or Folk/Indie.  Some of my favorite bands and artists are The Avett Brothers, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Ben Howard, and Macklemore. My biggest photography inspiration is Ben Brown, a film maker and photographer currently living in South Africa, but traveling around the world. Go check him out on YouTube!  When I am not working, you can usually find me in a hammock somewhere by a lake, taking photos of my friends, or discovering new music.

I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and will always be a Texan at heart. After high school, I moved to Branson, Missouri to attend a gap year program called Link Year. This was the hardest, yet best year of my life.  I grew in who I was, and grasped a better understanding of who The Lord is.  I spent another year up Branson, working for Link Year, as well as interning for Rise Media.  I am currently pursing my passion of freelance photography, while working as an outfitter for Lewis and Clark Outfitters in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  Well, this is pretty much me!
