Life Update 2.0

Well, I realized that I haven't updated y'all on my life in a while, and a lot has changed.  So, here is my life in the past 3 months:

Firstly, I have officially moved back to Branson, Missouri to work as a protege for Link Year! I’ve been here for almost 2 months now, and it has been an incredible journey so far.  My specific roles as a protege are to do the majority of the photography and to run the Link Year blog!  I have loved every second of these jobs, but nothing compares to my main job, which is to hang and be side by side with the students. I thought it would be a lot harder this year, watching new students come in and do the same things I did last year, but it has been awesome to see how God has used me and all the other proteges to be with them and help to guide them. It hasn't always been easy, but it’s not what I thought it would be like (in a good way).

Alongside with being in Branson for Link Year, I also started another internship with Rise Media.  Rise is a media company that does everything from web design to video.  The company is run by Marcus and Ashley Harris, who I got to know last year as a student at Link Year, and Sutton who was a mentor for some of my closest friends. I never thought an opportunity like this would come up, especially at my age.  I go into the office every day during the week, and they teach me everything from design on photoshop, to video editing.  Each day is different, and I am constantly excited to see what it holds.  It has been nice to have something I am involved in outside of Link Year, and to have another goal to work towards.

The weekends have been super fun, and I plan on loading some of the photos from a few trips I have gone on, soon.  A few weekends ago, I went camping with a few students and proteges in Eureka Springs.  I have also gotten to travel back home a few times to see friends, as well as last year's mens' director, Seth Higgins.  A huge group of us went down to Texas one weekend to see him coach football against my old high school's team for homecoming.

The journey this year has been incredible so far.  I forgot how much I love this community here in The Ozark's.  This year holds many more adventures, and I can’t wait to see what they will be.  I am going to try and get this blog back to being updated weekly, so I don’t have to keep doing these huge updates every month!  Stay tuned for a photo update on my little travels and link life.
