And So It Begins

So excited to tell everyone about Link Year 2015.  So typically when people graduate high school they go off to college, right? Well, not me!  I felt like God called me to do a gap year program this year, called Link Year. So this is going to be a blog talking about each week and what I have learned through the past weeks.  So here I go!
Coming into Link Year, I was so fearful that I had made the wrong decision.  I felt like I should have done the norm and gone to college, or stayed home.  I thought I was crazy moving to Branson, MO not knowing anyone or anything, but God has been so faithful.  The very first morning we arrived, we woke up before the sunrise and went by the shore at the lake and spent time all together praising God.  We wrote a letter, praying for ourselves and what we were hoping to gain in this year.  I wrote about finding my identity and feeling confident, and to gain life long friends.  I’ve only been here for a few weeks now, and already God has given answers to my prayer.  The people here areamazing.  Next we went off to SOTO for a retreat to get to know each other better.  It was a little awkward cause it was literally the first day all together and I didn’t know anyone, but by the end of it, I almost had everyones names down.  The next week, we finally had class and had our first speakers.  I feel like I’m trying to drink out of a fire hydrant, because so much information is being thrown at me, but I can only get a few sips.  It’s so crazy to think that I’ve only been here for 3 weeks, and God is ALREADY doing amazing things here. I can’t wait to see what He has for me.  It’s going to be exciting at the end of the year to look back and re-read all these blog posts.  Next weeks will be specifically about the week before, but I felt I needed to explain everything that has happened before!
