In my Bible study today, I learned about boasting in ones weakness.  This is not a very popular topic, but I found it very convicting, and I wanted to share what I learned with y'all.  In 2 Corinthians 12:1-10, it talks about boasting in our weaknesses.  Usually, you look at boasting the same as bragging.  How often do you brag about something you aren’t good at?

I know I went and travelled to Ireland and Italy over 4 months ago, but I never ended up posting some of my photos from the month on the blog, so today's "Throwback Thursday" consists of throwing it back to February when I spent the month in Belfast, Norther Ireland and Rome, Italy!  Well, its about time I finally post a new blog up here.  If we are being honest, Ive written this post multiple times, multiple weeks ago.  I have written and rewritten and deleted this post, because there is just so much to share that it seems almost impossible.  I have finally decided that I am going to at least try to sum up these feelings and emotions I have experienced the past month after Link Year came to an end. 

Wow, its been actually a long time since Ive posted here.  Lots has happened since my latest blog, so I am excited to share all about these with you!  I’m just going to spend a few minutes and explain the exciting adventures I have been on in the past few weeks, since I skipped last week.

The thing about posting blogs every Thursday, is that I always seem to forget about the weekends.  So today’s post is going to be about last weekends just because it was incredible.  Last weekend was Easter Weekend, and I spent my first holiday away from my parents for the first time.

If we are being honest, lately it seems like I have been overwhelmed with a lot of other people’s burdens.  I know The Word calls us to carry each other’s burdens, but it just seems like it has been a lot lately.  One thing I have learned and have really been challenged with is to focus on outward rather than inward. 

What's up party people!! We are finally back in Branson after our international trips! It has been a blast seeing everyone from the other trips, but this week has really been hard.  You see, this is the week that my church is in Costa Rica, which is where I went last year.

Here's the thing people don't warn you about before going to Ireland. I thought I would help y'all out.  These are the things I learned while on the trip

Today was a dream. It’s honestly hard for me to write about it because everywhere we went was so beautiful that I don’t have words. Today in Northern Ireland, we drove the North Coast which is one of the prettiest drives in the world.

Before I broke my ankle, I was able to go hiking with some friends.  Here are some of the photos from our adventure. 

Well wow. What a week it has been. This post may not be the deepest of posts, but I just need to express how stinking amazing my week has been. Lets start with the weekend, k? Ok. This past weekend was easily my favorite of any weekend of Link Year.

This week in class we have been talking about historical evidence of the Bible and Jesus.  Today we talked about Christ and proof of the crucifixion  which really hit home for me.  Yes, it was good to learn and be backed up with history, but there was way more happening in my heart than just learning.  God started redownloading what I learned at first when I came to Christ.  That was a while ago, but all this flooded back to me.

This week has easily been the best one of Link Year so far.  It was the first week after being gone for Thanksgiving break and so everyone was excited to see each other.  Honestly, I wasn’t ready to come back and leave home, but as soon as we pulled back up to campus it all changed.

So this week, our speaker shared with us during out hot seat questions, that his biggest fear for Link Year, is that after this year is over, we wont talk to each other again.  He challenged us to look around and see if you knew where everyone lived.  I was shocked with how many I didn’t.

Well, I could talk about my rare eye infection I got this week, or I could talk about taking a pretty big tumble while hiking, but instead, I am going to talk about something else.  All these things that have happened this week were funny and would be easy to write about, but I am going to write about this lady, Roberta, that I met yesterday.

Going home this weekend was the greatest thing ever.  I got to see my family and friends who I’ve missed so much, but I also realized how much I love Link Year and my friends here.  I know I missed my piers back home, but didn’t realize that I would miss my link community while being home.  It’s like Passengers song ‘Let Her Go’.

Hey friends! So I know I usually post on Thursdays, but I had something on my hear today and I wanted to share with yall.  It’s about comparison.  I feel like in this world, its so easy to compare ourselves to others, when God intended us to be our own person.

I’d say this week has been one of the best since I have come to Link Year.  It’s crazy to me that we have only been here for a month, and I already feel so close to everyone here.  God’s hand has been so evident in our daily fellowship, weather its been a heart to heart, or just fun with friends.  I love these people.

So excited to tell everyone about Link Year 2015.  So typically when people graduate high school they go off to college, right? Well, not me!  I felt like God called me to do a gap year program this year, called Link Year. So this is going to be a blog talking about each week and what I have learned through the past weeks.
